Some say that blogging is a primary
channel of people who doesn’t write well, a room for pretense to which they
could justify their shallow rumblings and share their non-sensical emotions
hoping to gain a wide coverage of readers in the net. So what? Well, that might
be true given that 90% of bloggers are making blogs for personal reasons. Some have
jumped off a little higher and applied blogging for business purposes - which I
believe proved to be an effective tool for marketing and networking. There’s
IBM who could attest to that, and Google, being a gigantic cyber company
uses this tool to make things easier for a lot of companies.
Reason for blogging for me is
just the same as anybody else. I believe that writing down thoughts on the net
is not more of losing but gaining more advantage depending on one’s
perspective. Even if I get insulted or demeaned by the comments left by people,
that would still be advantageous to me. Even if they call me shallow or a crap,
that would still mean a thing to me. For one, being criticized or demeaned manages
one to reflect on his views, ripen them and write them down again. It serves an
avenue for growth and there is nothing nobler than the thought that someone will
correct you in a way.
But of course, there are really
friendly comments in the likes of appreciation or affirmation. These are extra
bonuses for a blogger. What makes this scheme remarkable is that some of these led to
interactions or intellectual friendship, which apparently widen one’s
horizons on things. Interactions definitely lead to learning and blogging serves that purpose very well.
I also heard some bloggers even had met each other personally and established a lasting friendship, and this means so much by making blogging as way of making friends. So if I were asked what is my primary reason for blogging, my answer to that, apart from “So what?” is because I am a blogger and I have the right to be a blogger. My thoughts, my learning from the ground up, may be bereft of sense to you, but that will never stop me from writing. I am still hopeful, that somewhere in the net, a right person will stumble on this and say, “Ah, this man seems to make sense after all.”
